Advancing Compassion Project has far exceeded our plans and dollars for AIDS/LifeCycle matching contributions—but it was truly hard to stop helping so many wonderful folks involved in this year’s ride!

Thanks to our own donors, and to each of you, here’s what we accomplished:

• Advancing Compassion Project matched over 175 donations benefiting 75 riders and roadies from 23 different ALC teams
• Almost all of our supported riders now have their Ticket to Ride, earning the ‘privilege’ of cycling 545 miles from San Francisco to LA, starting this Saturday, June 2nd
• Most importantly – and helping many lives going forward – we’ve collectively contributed $25,575 to support the ultimate beneficiaries of this ride:

— Each $50 allows for the purchase and distribution of 550 condoms

— Each $100 enables prevention counseling for 12 clients

— Each $150 provides a client with comprehensive HIV/STD testing

— $500 supports a full year of medical supplies for 20 patients

— $1,000 provides substance abuse counseling services for 25 clients or funds a client receiving Post Exposure Prophylaxis
